Illinois Route 16
IDOT's multi-year program includes a substantial 13.56-mile Route 16 project from south of Miller Street in Schram City to south of Gibson Street in Nokomis.
The programmed work includes:

Safe Routes to School
The city pursued a $250,000 Safe Routes to School grant for ADA-compliant sidewalks along North Spruce Street and North Pine Street leading to North Elementary School.
This is a proposed/funding-stage improvement, not proof that construction is already complete.
