2000The idea becomes a company
In 2000, our founder noticed something that seems obvious now.
The internet was already changing how people did nearly everything. You could bank online, book a flight online, and read the news online. But driver education had not moved online—not because it couldn't, but because nobody had done it yet.
She set out to be the one who did, and ran into the same objection everywhere she went: how does a state know who is actually sitting at the keyboard? She was a lawyer, so she treated that as a problem to solve rather than a reason to stop.
The solution was identity verification built directly into the course—questions only the registrant could answer, asked at unpredictable moments and on a clock. That approach cleared the way for approval, and it became the foundation the company was built on.
That work made us one of the first companies in the country to bring driver education online. We wrote our own curriculum and engineered our own learning platform from the ground up, proving student by student that a well-built online course could serve drivers as effectively as a classroom while reaching students a classroom never could.
The Illinois Program
Approved for eligible Illinois adults ages 18–20
Today, our course is approved by the Illinois Secretary of State for the state's Adult Driver Education program.
It is designed for license-eligible adults ages 18–20 who have never held a driver's license in any state and have not completed a classroom driver education course. The curriculum is aligned with Illinois driver education requirements.
After you pass, we report your completion electronically. The Illinois SOS processes your certificate so you can download it and bring it to a Driver Services facility when you apply for your license.

About the Illinois Adult Driver Education Program
Know what to expect before you begin
The Illinois Adult Driver Education course is a state-approved course for adults ages 18–20 who need to obtain their first Illinois driver's license and have not previously held a license in any state or completed a classroom driver education course.
The course is organized into 10 chapters. Each chapter ends with a quiz you must pass before moving on, and the course ends with a final exam. A score of 75% or better is required to pass.
You'll have 30 days from enrollment to complete the course. The Illinois SOS requires at least six hours of course time, and you may complete that time in one sitting or over several sessions.
Once you pass, your completion is sent electronically to the Illinois Secretary of State. After processing, you can download and print the completion certificate you'll present when applying for your first license.
