The Illinois Secretary of State sets the curriculum for adult driver education. Your course covers:

Do adults need behind-the-wheel driving lessons in Illinois?
No. Illinois law requires only the six-hour adult driver education course. Behind-the-wheel instruction is optional for drivers 18 and over. The Secretary of State does recommend at least 50 hours of supervised practice, including 10 hours of night driving, before your road test.
Do I need a learner's permit before taking this course?
